Moving objects is an exhibition of responsive installations created by Sanela Jahić, Borut Savski and Zoran Srdić Janežič, in which artists treat mechanical objects as a medium used to express emotions. Savski placed on show three cybernetic mechanisms from the Strained Structures series: The Tree of Life (2010), The Flowers of Evil (2013) and Snake (2014). As the mechanisms unpredictably twist their torsional elements they all appear to function as living mechanisms. They are fuelled by motives from the biblical cultural context and between them they create an allegorical situation in the Garden of Eden. They respond to the sounds and movements in the surroundings and function as a metaphor for the relations within society. Jahić is presenting Scanner (2005-2008, 2014), a jerky installation for dematerialising images, in which the push of a button makes the horizontal line with LED diodes slip along the vertical axis. A holographic image is instantaneously ‘painted’. The image is defined by the software and the relation between the speed of movement and the location of the LED diode on the photographic matrix. Srdić Janežič continues to research the relations between value and the value system, and between the real and virtual space. The moving mechanical object Corpus animata AR (2014), which occupies the floor in the gallery emerged from the series Corpus Indeterminata 3D, which consisted of a scanned head of the artist and the body of a pig. Even though the puppet / body / statue / organism has its own life, the movements of the body are determined by the environmental changes and its inner mechanism.
