Exhibition project Proteus anguinus – Carnium is installation with different media: sculpture, graphic prints, artist book, performance and video. Exhibition was held on three different locations in Kranj: the main exhibition in the showcases at the City library entrance hall included graphical prints and drawings for the text from the artist book. The basic object - mascot of Proteus anguinus was exhibited together with the bicycle from the performance in the shop window of Tourist board Kranj, and projection of the performance was at Youth cultural centre Kranj.
The whole project Proteus anguinus – Carnium has thematic roots in human fish, with the recognizable geographical origin at Postojna cave. It is less known that in Kranj there is special laboratory for reproduction of human fish for more than 50 years. Image of Protues anguinus or human fish is in a way related to the representation of Slovenia. Exhibition tends to create a distance toward those images and builds a humorous approach. The narrative concerns the status of the threatened species as well as the endangered status of the artist in Slovenia.
